How Your Order Ships

We use two shipping methods depending on the size of your order:

Cabinet Orders β€” LTL Freight

All cabinet orders (both RTA and pre-assembled) ship via LTL (less-than-truckload) freight. This is the industry standard for shipping large, heavy items like cabinets safely.

  • Curbside delivery β€” the freight carrier will deliver your order to the curb or driveway of your delivery address. The driver is not required to bring items inside your home or garage.
  • Appointment scheduling β€” the carrier will contact you by phone to schedule a delivery window. A signature is required at delivery.
  • Pallet-shipped β€” your cabinets arrive on pallets, shrink-wrapped and secured for protection during transit.

⚠️ Important: Please have help available on delivery day. Cabinet shipments can be heavy β€” a typical kitchen order weighs 800–1,500 lbs across multiple boxes. We recommend 2–3 people to unload from the truck to your home.

Samples & Small Items β€” Parcel Shipping

Door samples, touch-up kits, and small accessories ship via UPS or FedEx directly to your doorstep. No signature required unless otherwise specified.


Receiving Your Freight Delivery

A little preparation goes a long way. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth delivery:

  1. Be present and ready Have 2–3 people available to help unload. Clear a path from the delivery area to where you'll store the cabinets. A garage or covered area near the front of the home works best.
  2. Inspect before signing Before you sign the delivery receipt, visually inspect the shipment with the driver. Count the total number of boxes and check for any obvious damage to the shrink wrap, pallets, or boxes.
  3. Note any damage on the delivery receipt If you see dents, crushing, holes, or water damage to any boxes, write a description directly on the delivery receipt (e.g., "2 boxes dented, 1 box with hole in corner"). Take photos. This protects your ability to file a damage claim.
  4. Open and inspect all boxes within 48 hours Once inside, open every box and inspect the contents for concealed damage within 48 hours. Take photos of any issues and contact us immediately.
  5. Report any issues promptly Contact us within 30 days of delivery if you discover damage, defects, or missing items. We'll work with you to resolve it quickly β€” most issues are handled with replacement parts shipped at no cost to you.

πŸ’‘ Pro tip: Don't discard any packaging materials until you've inspected every piece and confirmed your order is complete. You may need original packaging if a return or replacement is required.


Mixed Orders & Split Shipments

If your order includes both RTA and pre-assembled cabinets, they may ship separately since they have different processing times. You will receive individual tracking numbers for each shipment. Shipping rates are charged once β€” you will not be double-billed for split shipments.

Door samples ordered alongside cabinets will also ship separately via parcel carrier for faster delivery.


Order Changes & Cancellations

Need to modify or cancel your order? Here's what to know:

  • Before shipment: Contact us as soon as possible. If your order hasn't entered processing, we can modify or cancel it at no charge.
  • During processing: Changes may still be possible, but are not guaranteed once your order is being prepared.
  • After shipment: Orders that have already shipped cannot be cancelled. Please refer to our Returns & Refunds policy for return instructions.

Our processing window is 3–5 business days for RTA orders, so reach out as soon as you know you need a change. Email is fastest: support@quikcabinets.com


Delivery Addresses & Requirements

  • Residential & commercial addresses accepted. We ship to homes, job sites, and businesses across all 50 states.
  • Address accuracy is critical. Freight re-delivery or address correction fees are the responsibility of the customer. Please double-check your shipping address at checkout.
  • No P.O. Boxes for cabinet orders. Freight carriers require a physical street address. Door samples can ship to P.O. Boxes.
  • Limited access locations β€” if your delivery address has restrictions (narrow streets, gated communities, steep driveways, etc.), please let us know at the time of order so we can coordinate with the carrier.

Common Questions

Can I track my order?

Yes. You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number and carrier link once your order ships. For freight shipments, the carrier will also contact you by phone to schedule your delivery appointment.

How much does each box weigh?

Individual boxes typically weigh between 30–80 lbs depending on the cabinet type and size. Wall cabinets are on the lighter end; base cabinets and tall pantries are heavier. Pre-assembled cabinets ship in larger, heavier cartons.

What if I'm not home during the delivery window?

Freight deliveries require a signature and someone present to receive the shipment. If you miss your appointment, the carrier will attempt to reschedule. Storage fees may apply after a failed delivery β€” these are set by the carrier and passed through at cost.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at this time. We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states only.

Can I pick up my order instead of having it shipped?

Local pickup may be available depending on your location. Contact us to check availability, arrange a pickup time, and we'll waive the shipping fee. Orders must be paid in full before pickup.

What happens if my cabinets arrive damaged?

Note the damage on the delivery receipt, take photos, and contact us within 30 days. We'll ship replacement parts or cabinets at no cost. See our Warranty page for full details on damage claims.
