Best All-Plywood RTA Cabinets Under $5,000

The honest version
Getting "under $5,000" for a whole kitchen isn't actually the hard part — plenty of cheap cabinets clear that bar. The real question is what you're getting for the money.
A lot of budget cabinets are mostly particleboard dressed up to look like wood. Ours aren't. Every box and face frame is all-plywood, the door frames are solid wood, and soft-close hinges and dovetail drawers come standard — not as an upsell. It's the kind of build you'd expect from a showroom, just without the showroom or its markup.
What that gets you:
What it actually costs
Here's where prices start by cabinet type (in the lightest finish, ready-to-assemble):
Prices vary by finish — the deeper and specialty finishes cost a little more than the lightest ones.
A sample 10×10 kitchen
A 10×10 layout is the usual way people compare cabinet prices. Built in Ardelle White, one works out to roughly:
That's a rough estimate for a typical layout in the lightest finish; deeper finishes run closer to $3,000. Your real total depends on your kitchen — the easiest way to get an exact, itemized number is a free 3D design.
Picking a finish
There are three door styles across ten finishes — from a clean, bright Ardelle White through deeper tones like Ardelle Charcoal, and even a soft green in Tallis Fairy Green. Color reads differently in every kitchen's light, so we'll send you the actual finish as a free sample before you commit to anything.
Questions people usually ask
How much does a 10×10 plywood kitchen cost?
At Quik Cabinets, a full 10×10 all-plywood kitchen usually runs about $2,100–$3,000 depending on the finish. Because we sell factory-direct and ship ready-to-assemble, that's well under $5,000 and a good bit below typical showroom pricing.
Are ready-to-assemble cabinets any good?
It comes down to the materials, not whether the cabinet arrives built. Ours use an all-plywood box and face frame with solid wood door frames, soft-close hinges, and dovetail drawers — the same construction you'll find in far pricier assembled lines. Ready-to-assemble just skips the assembly labor and the shipping bulk, which is where a lot of the savings come from.
What's the difference between plywood and particleboard cabinets?
Plywood is stronger, holds screws better, and handles moisture far better than particleboard, which can swell or sag if it ever gets wet. A lot of budget cabinets use particleboard boxes — we use all-plywood boxes and face frames throughout.
Do I have to assemble them myself?
By default, yes — that's what keeps the price down and actually cuts down on shipping damage. Most cabinets go together with a screwdriver in a few minutes. If you'd rather not, pre-assembled options are available for an added fee.
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free on orders over $2,500 in the continental U.S. Smaller orders ship at a flat rate, and free door samples always ship at no cost.
Do the cabinets come with a warranty?
Yes — every cabinet is backed by a 5-year warranty.
